Kristy has been producing both live-to-air television and pre-taped programming since the beginning of her media career. Kristy has been an innovator with Melbourne's Channel 31 and RMITV and has continued this in her role as the current co-Vice President of Women in Film and Television (WIFT).
As General Manager of RMITV, Kristy created and produced such popular live television programs as Raucous and Pluck!, where she helped revitalise the broadcaster's popularity amongst a crowd of younger viewers. Due to her outstanding work at Channel 31, Kristy was honoured by winning the network's prestigious Antenna award for Program of the Year (2004).
A former writer for The Geelong Advertiser, Kristy's hands-on skills extend to directing, cinematography, editing, technical direction and set floor management. Prior to co-founding 1440 Productions, Kristy also worked for Jonathan Shiff Productions, multiple AFI award winners for children's programming.
Kristy brings fresh ideas and a wealth of experience to the 1440 Productions team. Most importantly, Kristy has taken on board the Masters of Entrepreneurship & Innovation program at Swinburne which has enhanced her business acumen in an area of work that is usually dominated by creatives.
Clinton Barbaroux began his career as an Art Director in community television working on such franchises as "Career Success with Bill Lang" - to expand his specialty to Graphic Design.
Now, an up and comer in the design arena, Clinton is already securing a reputation for his bold designs and creative solutions. Conservative to the edgy, Clinton has developed the visual identity and merchandise design for a diverse clientele. From niche retail outlets and entertainment personalities to music artists and the corporate sector, Clinton has proven himself to be an accomplished and professional designer.
His work has most recently included the slick branding of leading edge event management company "Serendipity Entertainment." Not forgetting his routes in Art Direction however, Clinton brought to life the children's educational DVD "Talking Time" with his rich sets and costume designs. Working largely with new businesses, Clinton Barbaroux's intention is to provide the client with a definitive brand that sets them apart from their competition.
Jon realised his passion for cinematography in his first year of Video Production at RMIT - where he won his first award for cinematography.
Since then he discovered a growing passion for Direction (Youth Week 2002 - Finalist, 15/15 Film Festival 2003 - Best Director) and Writing (TAC Make a Film Make a Difference 2004 - Finalist).
Throughout 2001-2007 Jon has become a highly sought after ACE Editor, Animator and Camera Operator for Cinema Ads, TVCs, Short Films, TV Pilots and Interviews.
Jon has also been teaching Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Camera Operation and Lighting at SAE College in South Melbourne and is a registered Adobe Expert. Currently, Jon is also working at Roving Enterprises shooting and editing for Rove Live and Before The Game.
Cutting his teeth working in live television on such programs as In Pit Lane and Raucous, Sasha Dylan Bell has been creating a coloured splash on Melbourne's visual scene for the better part of 7 years as a Director and Editor.
With his focus on the high-energy and a finger finely tuned to his creative pulse, Sasha has earned a reputation most recently through music video productions and artist EPKs. Working with the likes of Xavier Rudd, TZU, The Vedettes, Ladi Tash and hot hip-hop outfit Diafrix, his understanding of artist perspective and the eye on how to express them visually has kept both him and his subjects well on their toes.
Most recent works include directing and editing Diafrix's "In Tha Place" music video, segments of the upcoming Falls Festival DVD, short film "Through A Doorway With A Baseball Bat..." and working as an assistant editor on the popular Series 2 of Underbelly.
Dave was born not that long ago but has found while his creativity is ever strong, his ability to recall names and events is lessening. Which is a relief for 1440: we don't care if he calls us all "Todd", his intimidating strike rate for brilliant ideas more than compensates.
Dave's discovered the dichotomy of the employment world. He's managed large scale events (RMIT Film Awards, Reellife Film Festival, USvsTHEM live music night, Falls Festival director), bands (Jack's Castle, Kenny Cornflakes) and worked on feature films (including 88 Minutes starring Al Pacino). This makes him "over qualified" to sell jeans in his old world of retail, yet somehow dish pig work is still available to him.
Dave's written, produced and directed for theatre, film and television for over a decade. He writes and plays guitar with folk band Storeboughtcool (who thanks to the internet are loved in Ohio). He also writes instrumental tracks under the name Houndstooth and has several entertaining screenplays in development.
Dave is pretty tall, has a deepish voice, nice hands and needs a haircut. He is very good at cooking a selection of various breakfasts but can't quite poach eggs yet.
Dave has built a computer out of spare parts with a screwdriver and a soldering iron.
Ash began his career in the camera department with credits on television, film, commercials and music videos, before finding his love for directing. He has since directed a range of genres from documentaries to TVCs and music videos.
Ash, a veteran of 1440's coverage of seven Falls Festivals, has also built a suite of impressive music video credits for acts like The Vasco Era, Bomba & Joe Camilleri, Josh Owen, Liz Stringer and Narbalek (Video of the Year NT Music Awards).
Add his directing credits for television commercials and corporate videos for the fashion world, and you have a director with experience, vision and dedication. Plus he's just so easy to get along with!
In 2008 seeing it time to expand taking on the world of feature length drama, he has just completed a director's attachment on Underbelly, a series about Melbourne's gangland wars.
Most recently Ash directed a feature length concert DVD for The Cat Empire.
